This Recipe Book project uses the 7gypsies Photo Display Stand which is designed for 4” x 6” photos. If you don’t want to use the display stand you can create a Book with tabbed pages instead. All the chipboard tabbed pages were painted with a dusty blue acrylic paint which was mixed with some sky blue paint & a tan to create a custom dusty blue colour. Allow all the chipboard pages to dry & then lightly distress them with the a bark colour ink. Cut out the recipe cards using a light pink cardstock & cut them down to the same size as the naked chipboard pages.

To alter the front cover, cut out a piece of corrugated cardboard & roughly paint it with Gesso; let it dry & then embellish with your choice of papers & add a clip art image from the Travel to Paris collage pack. In the upper left corner I added a silver flower brad &  painted the chipboard letters b, o and n the same color as the chipboard pages & glued the 'bon' to the cover. Then I stamped the word appétit onto the same pink cardstock that I had used for the recipe inner pages, & then cut out the word & glued it onto the cover also. I added a very thin strip of pink crepe paper to the bottom edge of the corrugated cardboard. The inner tabbed pages were decorated using the same papers as the front cover, Travel to Paris Collage Pack images & the crepe paper. Designer Vanessa Spencer
